Details of AMC – 2019
In order to foster love for Mathematics amongst school students, the Mathematical Association of America, in collaboration with Transitions Lab Preparatory School, will conduct the AMC (American Mathematics Contest) in India.
The Contest intends to test the problem-solving skills and mathematical knowledge of middle and high school students. It is conducted for three different categories.

Test Papers: Type & Duration
-The AMC 8 Test Paper: There will be 25 MCQs (multiple choice questions)
Duration of the Examination: 40 minutes
-The AMC 10 & AMC 12 Test Papers: Both the A and the B versions would have the same number of questions, the same scoring and the same rules for administration. The only differences are the competition dates and each version has a distinct set of questions, although the two examinations are designed to be the same in difficulty and distribution of topics. Since both versions are on different days, students can opt for any combination of AMC 10 and AMC 12 as per convenience.
Duration of the Examination: 75 minutes
Exam mode: Online
Students have to submit the details online using httpss://dpsfsis.com/AMC.php link. Students can take the exam from home. The Parent has to proctor the exam and they have to give a certification stating all rules and regulations were followed.
Examination Fee:- 800 each (AMC 8 / AMC 10 / AMC 12)
Students can submit the fee online using net banking.

-AMC is the first in the series of competitions that leads to the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO)
-AMC score is significant for admission to MIT and Ivy League Schools such as Carnegie Mellon University, Princeton University and Caltech University.
-Students who perform exceptionally well in the AMC 10/12, are invited to continue participating in the AMC series of examinations:
- American Invitational Mathematics Exam (AIME), followed by the USA Mathematical Olympiad and Junior Mathematical Olympiad (USAMO and USAJMO)
- International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) (only for American citizens).
Participation is purely voluntary.
